Fred W. Robbins was born December 8, 1894, in Spencer, South Dakota, the son of Leavitt and Lenora Robbins. He attended school at Spencer. He moved to a ranch north of Philip in 1923.
Fred later moved to Philip, where he was a salesman for a life insurance company.
He was united in marriage to Clara Daniel on January 31, 1929, in Philip. They owned and operated the A.B.C. Motel in Philip for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Clara, of Philip; a sister, Naoma Robbins of Spearfish, South Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends.
