Ida Parke

of Lead, South Dakota, formerly of Kadoka, South Dakota, died on Saturday, November 28, 1998
at the Northern Hills General Hospital in Deadwood at the age of 89

Ida Drabek was born November 20, 1909, in Belvidere, South Dakota, to James and Anna (Stanek) Drabek. She attended grade school at Highland Center Rural School and later graduated from Kadoka High School. Ida was united in marriage to Myron Parke on December 26, 1929, at her parent's home north of Belvidere.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Kadoka. Ida loved spending time with her grandchildren and one of her biggest hobbies was making quilts.

Survivors include two sons, Harold (Marjorie) Parke and James (Dorris) Parke, both of Lead; one daughter, Anna Cowden of Grand Rapids, Michigan; ten grandchildren, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Myron, on March 19, 1993.
