Lucile Hall

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2000
at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming at the age of 77

Lucile Luse was born on October 26, 1922, in Corona, New York, to William and Louise (Britt) Luse. She grew up in New Jersey and later graduated from high school in Long Island, New York.

As a young lady she worked for the Bulava Watch Company. Later the family moved to Delaware where she worked as a secretary for a chemical company.

Lucile was united in marriage to Joseph Hall on February 19, 1947, in East Orange, New Jersey. They made their home on her husband's family ranch west of Cottonwood, South Dakota where they ranched and raised their children.

In 1956 the family moved to Climax, Colorado. While in Colorado, Lucile worked for the U.S. Post Office and later the Leadville City Water Department. In 1971 the family returned to the Hall ranch west of Cottonwood where they ranched until 1982 when they retired and moved into Wall where Lucile and Joseph have since resided.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph, of Wall; four daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Miller of Elko, Nevada, Kathy (Jim) McFarlaud of Canon City, Colorado, Rebecca (Kenton) Johnson of Gillette, Wyoming, and Caroline (Ted) Kjerstad of Gordon, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Bill Luse.
