I have such good memories of DeLayne as a hardworking man at the Philip schools. He took meticulous care of the school properties in the country and in town. He took pride in all he did. I have a beautiful classroom because of DeLayne. When I told him I was applying for a renovation grant in 2001, he immediately did all of the measurements to completely replace the FACS room's three kitchens. If there was anything that needed repaired it replaced, he was the man for the job! His work ethic and attention to detail was irreplaceable when he retired. I have been teaching for 39 years, and I still think of DeLayne frequently. Keeping you in prayer, Melody and Travis!
