Harry and Jeanne Merchen Tribute
May God give you comfort and peace and grace (2 Corinthians 1.2-4) and hope and encouragement (1 Thessalonians 4.18, 13-18).
I thank God for Harry and Jeanne who pictured well the marriage of Christ Jesus and his Beloved Bride—his Church (Ephesians 5.32-33). They laid down good footsteps for us younger couples to follow and walk in.
Harry was a Disciplemaker of Disciplemakers (Matthew 28.18-20 and 2 Timothy 2.2).
Harry was a Good and Great and Gracious Godly man who was a man of Prayer and was soaked in the Word and walked in Love like my Dad and Reese and Frankie and other godly beloved saints who have gone before us.
Harry was a loving and faithful and true husband and father and friend and servant of Christ Jesus.
Like David, Harry was a man after God’s heart to do God’s will (Acts 13.22) and served God and God’s purposes in his own generation (Acts 13.34).
May God help us remember and celebrate Harry and his life and his legacy and with the Spirit’s help may we live his legacy forward as we imitate him as Harry imitated Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 11.1).
We are thankful to God to be in same family of which Harry is a member—God’s Family in Jesus (John 1.12-14).
We extend our condolences in Christ Jesus and His Love and Grace and Peace.
Shalom
