Michael R. "Mike" Williamsof Philip, South Dakota, died on Sunday, April 27, 2025

Michael Ross “Mike” Williams was born June 9, 1952, the son of Robert T. “Ted” and Mary G. (Stroppel) Williams. He grew up in the Philip area and attended Philip High School, graduating in 1971.
After high school, Mike continued working for Herb Slovek at the Philip Processing Plant. He later worked for Deis Grocery Store until starting work with his brother Don at Williams Construction.
Mike later began working at the NAPA Auto Parts Store when Dave Schofield opened the doors. He continued to work at the store after Dale and Tammy Morrison purchased the store and moved it up to Highway 14. Mike continued to work there until his death.
Mike enjoyed watching a variety of sports.
Survivors include five brothers Jack Williams of Texas, Tom Williams of Philip, Don Williams and his wife Peggy of Black Hawk, Bruce Williams of Omaha, and Galo Williams and his wife Sheryl of California; one sister Suzanne Lewison of Sioux Falls; a sister-in-law Kay Williams of Philip; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Robert "Ted" and Mary (Stroppel) Williams; two half-brothers Robert Dean and Dick Williams; sisters-in-law Kathy, Joanne, Bea and Karen Williams; and a brother-in-law Larry Lewison.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Rush Funeral Home in Philip.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Masonic Cemetery in Philip.
