Lucille Geigle Randolph

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Tuesday, July 20, 2021
at the Philip Nursing Home at the age of 96

Lucille Nellie (Rasmusson) Geigle Randolph was born June 23, 1925, to Robert and Anna (Larson) Rasmusson. She was raised in the Winfred, South Dakota area and attended school and graduated from Howard, South Dakota.

As a young girl she moved to Wall, South Dakota to work for Fred and Eunice Lewis. Here she met her future husband, Edward Geigle. They were united in marriage on July 11, 1946, and to this union seven children were born: Ronald, Marilyn, Diane, Peggy, Darwin, Arlan, and Doug.

Edward passed away December 2, 1974. She was later united in marriage to Dale Randolph on July 5, 1991, and resided in Rapid City, South Dakota, where they shared their lives together. After Dale’s passing on December 1, 2009, she continued to reside in Rapid City another year before returning to Wall, South Dakota to be closer to her family.

When health issues arose and she needed additional care, she resided with Diane and Family for 3 ½ years before becoming a resident of the Philip Nursing Home until the time of her death.

Survivors include three sons Darwin (Lorrie) Geigle of Wall, Arlan (Susan) Geigle of Pierre, and Douglas (Jennifer) Geigle of Minot, North Dakota; three daughters Marilyn (Jef) Wilsey of Creighton, Diane (Warren "Chip") Walker of Philip, and Peggy (Clay) Peplinski of Breda, Iowa; two step-daughters Barbara Wargo and Bonnie (Al) Kinstad both of Rapid City; one step-son David (Linda) Randolph of Rapid City; 25 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Edward Geigle; her second husband Dale Randolph; son Ronald Geigle; grandson Timothy Plant; step-grandson Tommy Wargo; son-in-law Dale Plant; her parents Robert and Anna Rasmusson; two sisters Dorothy (Walter) Warns and Bernice (George) Mead; two brothers Arleigh (Emma) and Reuben (Ann) Rasmusson; niece Berneta Kruger; and nephew Ron (Bev) Warns.

Cards and memorials may be sent to P.O. Box 60 Wall, SD 57790. A memorial has been established with the Philip Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7 on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at First Lutheran Church in Wall.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, at First Lutheran Church in Wall with Pastor Christopher McCarthy officiating.

Interment will follow at the Wall Cemetery.
