Vonnie painted pictures for relatives and friends throughout the years. She also enjoyed sewing, attending craft club and bowling.
Vonnie held summer jobs outside the home. She was employed at the Double H Cafe in Belvidere for ten years and for thirteen summers she worked at the 1880 Town.
