  • As a youngster I spent a great deal of time on the Nemec Ranch and can recall many a day of being greeted by the sounds of the organ as Grandma Rena worked her way up and down the key-board. She enjoyed playing Pinochle and between her and Grandpa Jerome I became an enthusiast as well. Grandma Rena had a knack for remembering events and the corresponding date in which they happened. I never understood how she did it, but always enjoyed listening to her and it was a great way to get my wife up-to-speed on the history of the Nemec and DeYoung families. I’m grateful for the time I had on the Nemec Ranch and I want to wish my parents, Jerry and Sonia, as well as Dick, Larry, and Marjorie the very best. ~ Les and Jolene Nemec 4 S.
